1988 Ford Bronco II Failing - Electrical & Lighting Systems
Question: "I WAS DRIVING MY 1988 BRONCO II AND BOTH HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. THEY WILL NOT WORK ON BRIGHT EITHER. IT HAPPENED BEFORE AND THEY WORKED ON BRIGHT AND IT WAS THE DIMMER SWITCH. NO FUSES ARE BLOWN AND L OTHER LIGHTS WORK. IT HAD A NEW MULTIFUNCTION LIGHT SWITCH PUT IN ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO, AND A NEW DIMMER SWITCH ABOUT 9 MONTHS AGO. THE BRIGHT SWITCH DOES NOT CLICK EITHER WHEN APPLIED IT JUST MOVES FREELY. THE DIMMER SWITCH IS IN THE COLLAR. I SO TRIED ANOTHER HEADLIGHT AND THAT DID NOT WORK EITHER"

Technican: Hi,
If the dimmer switch is moving freely, that is likely the source of the problem. Sounds like it is time for another one. The quick failure makes me think it is either a cheap/sub-standard part, or installed poorly so that it cracked. Pay close attention to detail! Here's How To Get Guaranteed Solutions In Minutes
