Owner: on start up the vehicle floods and wont start Technican: How do you know the engine is flooding? Have you confirmed spark to the spark plugs? Owner: the vehicle has lots of spark, fuel pressure checks out ok, temp sensor new, cam&crank sensor new, t belt new, iac new, plugs new, exh new, computor new, o2s new, head redone, egr new, fuel pressure regulator was also changed, ...car tries to start, but then floods. once car does start, pings really bad & has no power. Technican: You didn't mention which engine you have, but did you check the maf (mass airflow sensor)? Have you checked the computer troublecodes?
The other thing to look for is leaking injectors. They can either leak or the ground part of the circuit can become grounded and they will run continously.
I assume the plugs were getting soaked with gas, there is black smoke on start-up, or there is a strong gas odor in the engine oil. These would be signs of a flooding condition. Owner: there are no trouble codes in the comp, as the maf there is a new one as well, when you try to start the vehicle white smoke comes from the intake and has a very peculiar smell, we have been trying to fix this car for 4 months Technican: Where is the white smoke exiting the intake?
