1999 Ford Escort Malfunction - General
Question: no cold air - a/C clutch not working when ac turned on.feron is ok.jumped the low pressure switch still didnt turned on.There is voltage @compressor, but it still wont work .IF voltage is applied directly to compressor the clutch works.fuse is ok.There is no a/c relay in this car.connectors and wiring is ok.could this be electrical need help.

Technican: It sounds like either you have a broken wire or blown fuse or a bad relay. I know you stated there is no relay but there has to be some sort of relay or switch in the system. Yes your problem sounds electrical but you will need a meter and some time to verify wiring contenuity. If you provide voltage to the compressor does the a/c blow cold? Al
Owner: i did not run the a/c for long, just long enough to check the a/c clutch works so i did not know the air was cold or not.i checked the wiring diagram in hayes manual there is only one fuse for ac no relay for it.if you can tell me location of relay that would be help ful thanks.
