1992 Ford Explorer Won't Start - Fuel System
Question: I've ust replaced the fuel pump, turned the ignition on/off to get fuel to the engine, checked the emergency shut-off button, and used carb cleaner to try and start. It starts, burns the ether, and then just cranks. Any suggestions?

Technican: First check to see if you are getting fuel to the engine. There is a little valve on the fuel rail to check for fuel pressure. If you have fuel pressure, then the problem is in the injectors, computer or sensors. If there is no fuel pressure, then check for power supply at the pump. You should have 12 volts between the power and ground wires. If so, then something is wrong with your new pump/installation. If no power, then there is a wiring, fuse or relay problem. Follow through this logically and then you can reach the right conclusion. Here's How To Get Guaranteed Solutions In Minutes
