Technican: Hi;
I own a 1992 explorer that I replaced the heads on. You will have to let it run for afout two hours before it will quit smoking. The catalytic converter is probably soaked with antifreeze. As far as the coolant coming back out of the radiator, it will do that until the thermostat opens up. Just fill the system and put the radiator cap on. Leit it run and once it gets up to operating temperature shut it off and let it cool back down. Then take off the cap and top of the radiator. . Owner: Les, are the black spark plugs and wet intake ports normal? not all ports are wet this is in the upper intake.did cylinder leak test air coming out of intake ports some worse than others. Technican: Hi;
The spark plugs been black means a fuel injector is sticking. When you did the cylinder leak test did you make sure both valves where close? If you are still getting the air, most likely the valves are not sating properly. I have had a few bad experiences with reman engines. . Here's How To Get Guaranteed Solutions In Minutes
