1994 Ford Explorer Malfunction - Heating & Cooling System
Question: My blower motor works sometime. Intermittent. On and off for no apparent reason. When it works it works good. It seems to happen more when my wife is in the truck. Is it doing this just to aggravate her? Well.... all kidding aside, any ideas? (I'm serious about the wife thing though. Most of the time it works when I'm by myself. The minute she gets in the truck, front or back, it stops working)

Technican: Hello, When the blower works all is well? Take a look at the power wire connection at the blower motor itself. It may not be a tight connection and could be damaged from heat caused by a loose fit. Best time to chase this is of course is when the blower is not working. If just moving the connector will result in the blower coming on, that connection needs improvement. Even the blower fuse must fit tight in the fuse panel. Technican: Hello, any news here? Technican: Hi, will you please update the status of your question? Still need help? Owner: Thanx, I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. The wife hasn't complained enough yet. What you suggested makes sense. I was just wondering if there was a common fault with explorer's blower motors. Technican: The use of the vehicle including vacuuming the floor, a kick from a passenger's foot, cargo tossed into the floor or suddenly shifting when braking, are all common ways connectors get loose.
Not many loose connections I've seen were built that way at the plant, but all the above are possibilities. Technican: Hello, What is happening here, please?
Please advise. Technican: Hello, Will you please take a moment and give me an update on this question? Thanks!
