1994 Ford Explorer Overheating - Heating & Cooling System
Question: When driving uphill on a warm day lately temp guage goes almost to red but not on red. Also making a rattling noise at the same time going uphill or accelerating. We think maybe thermostate but not sure where it is can u tell me where to find it. Thanks -Leslie

Technican: Follow the top radiator hose which will lead you to the thermostat housing on the engine. Unbolt the thermostat housing to change.
