Technican: Sounds like your blower relay is stuck on. Replace the relay and you should be good to go! The relay is in the auxiliary fuse box #2, behind and below the passenger side headlamp. Remove the relays one at a time, checking the blower, then replace the one that makes the blower turn off. Owner: Not a satisfactory answerthe mechanic did pull that fuse and yes with the fuse pulled the blower stopped running, tried new fuse - no difference
this process of relay switch was also tried, did not help
thank you Technican: The next step is to remove the blower relay as stated, then check the 4 terminals with a test light. One should be hot (12V) all the time, one should be hot only with the key on and the other 2 should not light the test light at all.
If 2 wires are hot all the time with the key off, then remove fuse #6 (7.5A) in the dash fusebox. If you still have power on 2 wires, then your wire is shorted to power between the dash fuse box and the relay. If the power has gone away on the second terminal, then you may have a bad ignition switch or another short in the wire harness or components. Owner: this was tried also, we will probably have the mechanic put a toggle relay switch in the dash to make the blower work Technican: If each wire is tested at the relay, the problem can be solved. If steps are skipped, then the proper fix will be overlooked and the quick fix (toggle switch) will need to be used. Best wishes, and a Happy New Year.
