1980 Ford F-150 Pick-up Other - Engine
Question: I am restoring a 1965 Mustang. I bought an engine which is an 80's model 302. I believe by the code numbers it came from a truck. The oil dipstick is on the drivers side rear of the block. Will I need to change the oil pan and oil pick up tube to make it work on the mustang or will it work as is. If I have to change it can I put a different oil pan on change type of oil pick up tube and use a timing cover that has the oil dipstick in the timing cover and plug the hole in the rear where the oil dipstick used to go? I know The block also has the fuel pump bolted to the block and not connected to the timing cover.
