1992 Ford F-150 Pick-up Chugging - Fuel System
Question: When I've been driving for an hour or more and give it gas, it will start to buck and jump. It seems like it's not getting gas enough. I can usually switch to my other tank to get home (the other tank runs normal). On rare ocasion this happens to both tanks but usually just one. I have replaced all fuel filters.

Technican: Check the gas cap on the offending tank.Make sure the seal is nice and tight. If any air is entering the fuel system via the cap, this may be your problem.
Paul Owner: Both tanks have brand new gas caps. Technican: If caps are new, it sounds like you may be getting either a
vapor lock, or a sensor is detecting an air leak in the system.Have the vehicle diagnosticly scaned for any codes that may pertain to your problem(O2, MAF).If any code is retrieved, follow the flow chart *all* the way through to insure a proper repair. Some parts houses offer this service for free or at a nominal charge.Hell of a lot easier than throwing parts at the thing.
