1988 Ford Mustang GT Won't Start - Fuel System

Question: Driving on the freeway at 60mph yesterday, a/c had new freon added, but high rpm's wont let it cool as much as if it was at a lower rpm, so when i exited the freeway i shifted to neutral (automatic) and just rolled down the offramp enjoying my new a/c, then when i tried to shift back to drive, the car died and hasnt started since, gas gauge is bad, so ithought no gas, added 2 gallons, and no start, what in the world could be the problem? this is my work car and i need to get some help fast, and have a hard time trusting shady mechanics, and especially the dealer... Help me please

Technican: Hi, Wow, but it is harder to fix a car online than live! I suggest checking for spark first. If no spark, unplug the spout connector and check again. (grey bridge plugged in near the distributor) If spark, then the computer is down...check fuses and relays. If still no spark, likely a bad module, coil, distributor. If you have spark, but no start, check for fuel pressure. If you have good pressure, then check for injection pulse, timing chain... There are many reason a car can shut off, but work this list in the order I said and you should soon find the cause.
Owner: "injection pulse"? "grey bridge"? "coil"?.... what is all this... it took me 5 hours to change a horn last saturday, and the bastard car fell on me.. i am not that mechanically inclined... please elaborate... i will do all this stuff, have tools, will work for training, lol...
Technican: #1 Find a mechanic you can trust. #2 I have $3000 tools I use for such diagnostics. #3 At my shop, I charge only $50 to diagnose a problem like this. #4 I will work through this with you and will not give up, even if you do. #5 We charge $20 to change a horn...you must be careful and safe in YOUR work...You are worth far more than $20! (especially in the eyes of your creator) Start at the beginning. Remove a spark plug wire from a spark plug, plug in an ST-125 spark tester (Less than $10) onto the wire, clip it to a metal part of the engine, crank the engine with the starter and see if the tester makes occasional bright snapping sparks. Best wishes,
Technican: Another option to test spark...cheaper, less safe. Plug a screwdriver in the plug wire and lay it across the engine in such a way that there is 1/2inch gap between the metal of the screwdriver and the metal of the engine and check for spark the same way.
