1991 Ford Mustang GT Won't Start - Fuel System

Question: Last week you helped me get the carstarted from checking the neutral safety switch but now when I start the car the fuel pump does not kick on, if I hotwire it from the realy it will kick on but if I start it from the ignition it wont kick on.I checked the fuel safety switch and that is pushed down and ok .What else do u think it could be?

Technican: I do not know exactly how you hotwired it at the relay. There should be power all the time on the pink/black wire. The green/yellow wire goes to the pump. Remove the relay and put a wire between those 2 wires. The pump should run. If not, check the fuel cutoff switch closely. Make sure the wire is plugged in snuggly. Tap it with a rubber mallet to unset it, then reset it. Bypass it with a wire between the green/yellow and brown/pink wires. If it runs now, replace the switch. If the pump runs, use a test light between red and the blue/orange wires. It should light for several seconds when the key is turned on. If so, replace your relay. If no light, check for power on the 1 wire when the key is on. If no power, check the fuses. If there is power, check the wiring to the computer and replace the computer if required.

Owner: I ran the wires like u said to the realy and the fuel pump and the pump did kick on after spraying starting fluid into the car also.I also forgot to mention to u that the car used to be 4cyl and no it is a 8cyl.I just remembered that since i changed out the entire wiring system that I may need to change out the gas tank also because the book says something about the computer not being able to recognize the smaller tank.So now I am going to swap out the tank from another 5.0.What do u think?
