1995 Ford Mustang GT Malfunction - Drive Train & Driveline

Question: The Transmission is a 5 speed and when I shift into second gear it grinds unless I wait till the engine rpm drops down usually about 4 to 5 seconds. All other gears shift perfect. I have adjusted the cluth cable to specs and it has fresh fluid. If it is necessary to take the tranny apart where can I find the parts and a breakdown of the transmission. Your help is greatly appreciated

Technican: "Hello, When changing gears there are synchronizers that match the speed of the gears about to be meshed for a smooth shift. When mechanical synchronization fails the gears will grind. I believe this is what is happening in your transmission. Parts come from several makers but to ensure quality control I recommend genuine Ford replacement parts. The best breakdown, inspection, repair, and reassembly instructions I know of are in a 1995 Ford Shop Repair Manual. The manual is pricey. If your car is a "keeper" it is worth the investment. You can order on-line at: helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r= A local national auto parts chain store may have a decent CD version of a manual by Chilton (or similar vender), but Helm, Inc. writes the factory manuals. Your thoughts?, "
