Technican: from the sound of your problem it is possible that the oil pressure sending unit is not functioning correctly and needs to be replaced first and formost before going on to other things Owner: I'm sorry I frogot to add that I have already replaced it several times and it still dosen't work. I'm guessing that I have a short to ground somewhere but I, m not sure since my haynes manual dosen't even show where the wires leading to the sending unit are. Technican: can you get to the gauge to see if it is operating correctly it could be a loose wire
take the lead to the block ground and see if it causes the gauge to move.
