1995 Ford Mustang GT Malfunction - Electrical & Lighting Systems

Question: I have a 95' 5.0. Ever since I bought it my oil pressure gauge has always had a problem. Sometimes it works and displays a normal pressure read out. But most of the time it dosen't and the needle just stays all the way to the left. I know its not possible for such a low reading is true because I've taken the car past 160mph and with no oil pressure the engine would have blown up. Again if you have any info. I would really appreciate it.

Technican: from the sound of your problem it is possible that the oil pressure sending unit is not functioning correctly and needs to be replaced first and formost before going on to other things
Owner: I'm sorry I frogot to add that I have already replaced it several times and it still dosen't work. I'm guessing that I have a short to ground somewhere but I, m not sure since my haynes manual dosen't even show where the wires leading to the sending unit are.
Technican: can you get to the gauge to see if it is operating correctly it could be a loose wire take the lead to the block ground and see if it causes the gauge to move. the three parts are the sending unit, wire and the gauge in a nut shell you can even bypass a short testing it with another wire straight to the gauge
