1995 Ford Mustang GT Overheating - Engine

Question: when its over right around 95 degrees outside my car always runs in the upper heat range(Hot but not direcly on the H) It also starts to ping when its running warm..Have noticed that it loses about a cup of anti freeze within a month..and some times it smells like antifreeze while its running(possibly through the exhaust)Is there a 3 core radiator available that might help my overheating problem...Thanks Mitch

Technican: Before you attempt to alter the cooling system I have to ask what has been done to try to resolve the problem so far? If the water pump impellers are worn, the thermostat is faulty, there is a restriction in the block, cooling fan is inoperative, head gasket is leaky, etc a larger radiator will do little to help. I will try to stick with you as long as it takes to resolve the problem. Or I can look for a 3 core radiator if that is all you want. If you want to troubleshoot, 1. under what driving conditions does the engine overheat 2. Is the radiator plugged with debris (bugs, leaves, etc) 3. Does the cooling fan operate?
Owner: One more question!! I have flushed the engine and radiator twice in the last 40, 000 miles .. car has 110, 000 miles, everything is original as far as the engine, had the recall for the fan motor done, fan operates o.k.....It runs in the very high area of the normal range(not directly on the H)when its very warm outside(95-110) on the freeway, mostly on small grades with the air on...I guess my question is, somebody told me It was normal for the GT to run warm....Is this O.K. to run that Hot during the summer months out here ..During the winter months it runs right in the middle of the normal range all the time.. Mitch
Technican: The GT's are known to run warm. But I wouldn't want to take any chances when it starts nearing the "H". I think you had the right idea with an upgraded radiator. FLUIDYNE is a much raved about radiator for mustangs. While I couldn't find a 3 core (not for the 95), this is the next best thing. The drawback is the high price. A more economical alternative is SUMMIT brand. I also contacted radiator.com It was after hours and they wanted to have their specialist call me back during normal hours to discuss options as this is a "complicated car" to upgrade. It's nice to get live internet service, so check them out. And be wary of what you buy, get a guarantee that it'll fit without major modification.
