1967 Ford Mustang Malfunction - Chassis, Suspension & Steering
Question: My 1967 Mustang 200 6 cylinder 3 speed w/manual steering-I'm replacing the steering box because it has about four inches of "play" (in the steering wheel) and I can't seem to break loose the steering shaft from the steering box. All bolts have been removed and it seems as if the steering box "spline" is stuck inside the steering column shaft. I have the new part ready to go on. Please help, Ed!

Technican: Try heating the area with a torch and then apply bees wax (candle) to it so it sucks up between shaft and spline. Heat will expand the joint and wax will help to slip it off. Joe's Garage Here's How To Get Guaranteed Solutions In Minutes
