1982 Ford Mustang Other - Engine
Question: I am installing a 392 stroker motor in my 1982 mustang. It had a 302 in it, but when i dropped the new motor in, it is not going back far enough to meet the bellhousing of the c4. There is about a 1/2" gap between the motor and the trans. Are the 302 motor mounts interchangeable or do i need different mounts?

There is not an adaptor availiable that I am aware of to mount the hemi to the c-4 tranny
there are other options you may want to consider like the t-5 and so on, that the hemi will mount to.
the bolt pattern is not the same
