Question: When DE-accelerating you hear a 'clunk' and you can feel a lagging momentarily. It does it occasionally - it can be hot or cold - it is a 5 speed manual trans., 5.0L. What could be causing this?

Technican: Honestly, it could be in the transmission itself, to much end play, u-joints, or the diff with too much play in it as well.
