1986 Ford Mustang Won't Start - Ignition System
Question: I have a 1986 302 carberated engine in a 1986 jeep cj-7. It also has an accel super coil. The battery is holding a charge of 12.4 and a small charge is reaching the distributor but there is no spark reaching the plugs.
I have replaced all of the plug wires, the spark plugs and the rotor button. Could the problem be the distributor itself or maybe the ignition control module?
Thanks
Robert Boone

Technican: Hello, Yes it could be the ignition control module.
Let me get a trouble chart and see how best to find the problem. Do you have a tachometer on this one? Technican: I have a four page trouble chart for the EEC-IV Thick Film Integrated (TFI) System I'd like to send to you.
Please advise your email address or a fax number if you'd like ths info. Owner: I'm not sure what the EEC-IV is or does but yes please e-mail me the chart
thanks Robert Technican: The EEC-IV is the technology and type electronic ignition system used on the 1986 Mustang.
I'll get that email going. Technican: What is happening here, please? Here's How To Get Guaranteed Solutions In Minutes
