1993 Ford Probe Lagging - Engine
Question: Engine light comes on. Fan runs constantly
stalled once. Lacks power. changed thermostat,
sensor 10884 and 12A648 are replaced. These are the water temperature sensors.
Fuel cutout light comes on but reset button does not need to be reset. gas filter is new, all fluids are ok.

Technican: Assuming that the fan problem, the fuel light and the lagging all started at the same time, points to a bad ground wire or connection under the hood. Check the ground connections.
You should get the codes from the computer regarding why the engine light is on. Or else, we are shooting in the dark.
Check the voltage on the 12A648 sensor wire. It should start around 3Volts cold and drop to about .6Volts warm. If not, then there is a problem with the sensor, wires, connector or computer. This could cause some of your troubles.
