1993 Ford Probe Lagging - Engine

Question: engine light on, fan comes on and does not go off again, when the car is warmed up. fuel cutout light comes on but it does not need to be reset. Checked the diagnostic and it gave me code 69. I changed 10884 and 12A648 water temp sensors and that hasn't done it. I'm thinking cooling fan relay. As I have already spent $70 for sensors I need to be sure. Thanks

Technican: check your thermastat sounds like it is bad and keeping motor hot which will turn on engine light and keep fan on till car cools down. BIG JIM

Owner: Changed the thermostat and the engine light still comes on. Fan runs constantly. still loses power. Stalled out once.

Technican: engin light check e g r valve my son had to change his then took it back to the auto zone.they check it for free. they reset the engin light on and it did the trick.my son bought a used e g r valve for 5 dollars a new one is 70 dollars.lost power could be timeing belt jumped.fan running could be the sending unit if it is unpluged it will run if the air is on i think it runs hope some of this will help you keep checking not spending again BIG JIM
