1994 Ford Probe Stalling - Engine

Question: My car stalls while driving - usually 10 or 15 minutes into the drive, about 70% of the time. When driving the same route, it frequently stalls at roughly the same distance, but not always. Doesn't matter what speed or I can be stopped at a light (however, I've been avoiding driving anywhere over 60 km). Stalls once, can sometimes restart while still in motion, but now have to pull over and restart. Was only happening once per trip, but in the last two days it stalls two or three times in a row within a minute of each stall. Sometimes it idles rough, too. My mechanic has done three diagnostics and there are no codes coming up and he is totally baffled. Replaced the battery as it was showing low voltage, but did not fix the problem. However, it did stop occasional whining I was from the alternator belt when starting up, so I don't know if it's related to the stalling problem. Can you give me any clues what to look at?

Technican: Hello, The stalling after approx 15 minutes is a common complaint that can be blamed on the Ignition Ignitor Module. This module is usually mounted very near the distributor. It is about the size of a dollar bill (US). It can be removed and tested at a national auto parts chain store for reliability. Failure of the ignitor would not turn on the Service Engine Soon light (SES). The ignitor is where I would start my diagnosis on this one. Your thoughts?,
Owner: Would this also have anything to do with the sometimes rough idling while stopped?
Technican: Possibly, it would be more believable to be the ignitor if the rough idle occurred near the end of the time window you talked about.
Owner: No need to reply. Just want to say thanks and have a great weekend. I appreciate your quick response on a Friday night!
Technican: I sincerely hope that works out for you. FYI the ignitor is bolted to a flat metal plate near the distributor. The size socket or nut driver to use on the bolts is 5.5mm. These ignitors are not cheap. I encourage you to have yours tested before you just replace it. The second most likely culprit would be the Crankshaft Position Sensor. It could drop out like an ignitor, but would not contribute to a rough idle. To accept my answer please click on the OK TO PAY MECHANIC button. Thank you,
