Technican: Hello, What kind of jack are you going to use? If it is the jack that came with the truck, position the jack below the right side of the axle housing dirctly below the leaf spring and in between the leaf spring mounts. Do not raise the tire more than one inch off the ground as the jack is meant only to support a tire change event.
Prior to jacking your Ranger you will want to loosen the wheel lug bolts 1/2 turn counterclockwise but do not remove them until the truck has been raised off the ground the minimum height to facilitate installing an inflated spare.
