Technican: Hi;
Sounds like your air bypass valve is clogged or malfunctioning. It shoulb be located in the plenum. Should have two bolts holding it in. You can try to clean it while the engine is running. The way to this is to disconnect the air intake hose and get you a can of ait intake cleaner. Start it up and while keeping it running spray the cleaner into the intake. Make sure the engine is at operating temp. Use up the whole can and after you are done disconnect the negative on your battery and let sit for 5 minutes. Reconnect the battery and start the engine and let idle for two minutes. No accesories on and if a manual leave in neutral if it's an automatic put in reverse and hold brake. The idle should start fluxuating until it finds a stable idle. If this does not work have a shop check it out for you. A diagnostic check will usually show it up. .
