1992 Ford Ranger Other - Drive Train & Driveline

Question: i had to replace the manual transmission of a 1992 ford ranger, however the hydualic line from the master cylinder of the clutch to the quick disconnect of transmission was damaged (it is pressurized when you step on the pedal). I cannot figure out how to remove the line from the master cylinder. after reading thru three different books, talking to the ford dealership and multiple tool centers i am still no closer to figuring out how to detach the line!

If there is a pin, it would be pretty small (<1/8 in.), hollow & recessed, but i cannot see it, but have tried pushing various tools into the hole to see if i could push any pin out.* "Is a replacement line available without buying the whole unit?" I have the replacement line, (it does not come with a pin). Also, You cannot buy the master cylinder with this LINE connected to it from Ford. The master cylinder is not off, The Ford parts salesman said that that places like NAPA would be able to sell ne a tool to take it off. While i realize that it maybe somewhat rare to replace this hose, NAPA people and others are unsure what to recommend, i even whet thru CRAFTSMAN and SNAP-ON website too no avail.

Please let me know if yours is different by design... and please confirm that you are trying to remove the hose from the master cylinder (which typically is held in by a pin) and not from the slave cylider (which is often a quick disconnect)?? chevyhiperformance.com/howto/39021/
