1993 Ford Taurus Making Noise - Electrical & Lighting Systems
Question: I recently changed my altenator and battery. First
altenator started making noise and battery light would come on when ideling. But would go away when accelerated. Took altenator and battery to test. Defective altenator. Put new one in. Can hear it again. Duralast-Import brand. Maybe bad batch?? Or did I miss something. Voltage regulator???

Owner: Forgot to mention this; 93 SHO 3.2 ATX
Technican: I recommend taking the car back in for another test. The voltage reg should be in the alternator but in either case have the guy at the NAPA or Autozone test the alternator and battery. Free of charge and yes I have installed "new" alternators that were bad. Let me know.
