Technican: Lets start with the basics. It seems like you have not had this car for long. Have you changed the tranny fluid and filter recently? How many miles are on the car and what kind of driving do you do.. Let me know..
Owner: I HAVE HAD THIS CAR ABOUT TWO MONTHS. I HAVE NOT CHANGED FILTER AND FLUID YET, BUT I WILL THIS WEEKEND. THE CAR HAS ABOUT 120.000 MILES ON IT. I DRIVE IT TO WORK ABOUT 20 MILES EACH WAY ON STATE ROADS. THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO ACT UP AFTER IT REACHS OPERATING TEMP. IT IS NOW STARTING TO SHIFT DOWN FROM OVERDRIVE TO PASSING GEAR(HOLD ON) AT ABOUT 55MPH WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GAS PED. I CAN GET ANOTHER AXOD TRANS. FROM A 1990 TAURUS IF IT WILL WORK WHAT DO YOU THINK? I CAN REBUILD THIS ONE WHILE STILL DRIVING THE CAR.

Technican: Lets start with the oil change and the filter replacement. Also I recommend either using the Lucas transmission oil or Napa has an additive to add to the tranny fluid.. costs about 7.00 and works really nice.. make sure that you do not overfill the tranny.. if you need directions on proper filling proceedures.. let me know.
