1995 Ford Taurus Won't Start - Electrical & Lighting Systems
Question: I drove 90 minutes down the highway, then stopped. Re-started the engine and came back, but stopped to get gas near home. When I turned the key to re-start the dash lights came on a usual, but no sound from under the hood. I shifted the transmission lever back and forth...still silent. As a final "Hail Mary" I opened the hood and grabbed the alternator pully and twisted it to turn the engine over a few degrees. When I turned the key, it started and has been doing fine since. Starter? Starter relay (if there is one on this car)? Gremlins? Thanks

Technican: Hi:
Sounds like the starter is noty disenegaging. You can knock on the stareter and see if it starts up. Just be real carefull around it. The model you are talking about is got what they call a double solenoid. Any more help feel free to ask.. Owner: So a new starter would fix the problem? Technican: Hi:
Yes most likely. also check the teeth on the flywheel why you are there.. Here's How To Get Guaranteed Solutions In Minutes
