Technican: Hello, Are all of the wires reconnected to factory original configuration after having removed the remote start system?
Is it spark or fuel we are looking for? I'll look for a reset procedure for the anti-theft. It could be as simple as disconnecting the battery for thirty minutes.
Please advise. Owner: So your telling me, after you have the battery discounted for 30 min.that will reset the anti-theft.I had it discounted on and off as I was reassembling, but I`m not sure if it was a full 30 min. When I was cranking the car over I also had no lights or accessory`s.I also had discounted the computer module temporarly. Technican: It would be helpful to know whether we are looking for spark or fuel. Have you checked fuses?
The thirty minutes disconnect of the battery will clear computer codes if there are any. There is also a step that calls for holding the foot brake on for one minute, then release, before you reconnect the battery.
I put one of those Bulldog Remote Start Systems on a 1999 Taurus and it was labor intensive checking and rechecking how the system is configured on the Taurus. In your effort to install the Bulldog, did you cut any wires or just splice the connections? Did you solder the connections you made?
Tell me more about the lights that didn't work while cranking the engine. Instrument warning lights? Do you have them with the key on and the engine off? Do the accessories work with key on and engine off?
