Technican: Hello, What series Taurus do you have please? Is it a station wagon?
If you provide me an email address or a fax number I'll try to locate the diagram and send it to you.
Meanwhile, have you checked the fuses to see if any are blown? Are there any metal objects in a cigar lighter socket that could have caused a short? (Coin, staple, paper clip, gum wrapper, etc.)
Please advise. Owner: I have not pulled all the fuses, because I didn't know the amperage of the fuse for the door locks. There do not appear to be any conductive materials on a contact point. Technican: I need to know if it is a station wagon or a SHO Taurus, what series Taurus it is, and if the car has keyless entry.
Do you want me to email or fax the wiring diagram to you? It shows the fuses and the circuit breaker. Where to please? Owner: Its a Taurus SE, not a wagon or SHO. If you would e-mail the fuse diagram to p
Thanks Technican: All right. I have two wiring diagrams concerning the door locks I will send you. Both diagrams are for a Taurus SE and I have assumed that you have keyless entry.
I hope it helps you. If you do not have keyless entry please advise and I'll get those diagrams as well. Owner: , I do have keyless. Byron Technican: Great, I sent you the correct diagrams for the door lock system. Owner: , I really needed the fuse diagram, and you sent me the wiring diagram.
Byron Technican: Well shoot. The data base I can access from home doesn't map the fuse box. Are your fuses numbered? The diagram I sent shows the number of the fuse and it's amp rating for fuses in the dash panel. Also the number of the circuit breaker in the junction box under the hood.
I have a family member that will be here tomorrow and she drives a 1999 Taurus. I'll get her owners manual and come up with something to send to you. Owner: , The fuses are numbered and are under the hood.
Byron Technican: Okay, are you able to use the fuse numbers on the wiring diagram to identify which number fuse relates to the power door locks?
