1987 Ford Thunderbird Overheating - Electrical & Lighting Systems

Question: Car is overheating in idle, fan will not come on to cool the system. Fans were checked and fan motors work when disconnected from the cables.

Owner: I still can not find out what the problem is. With the ignition on I disconnected the sensors and the fan would not still come on. It appears that the relay may not be working. There are two relays located on the firewall, one is for the brake system and the other one who knows. I cannot find a wiring diagram to find out where the problem is.
