| make | Ford | | model | aerostar | | year | 1994 | | what | i have a 94 aerostar xl that we just bought it ran perfect for a few days then suddenly it developed an intermittent power loss problem one minute she runs great the next gas peddle is on the floor just to keep up with traffic she sounds as if shes starving (or maybe more like an old Chevy 4 brrl with all 4 barrels open) Ive changed the fuel filter and added injector cleaner but no change and its getting worse. at idle she sounds great no noises no skips nothing drive off and mostly she starts out OK then she get's weaker by the min. shes not overheating oil pressure is good air cleaner new i plan on doing plugs and wires but am thinking this is a much deeper problem. oh and trany shifts fine the van is at the point that to do 60 mph we need to be on level hwy or downhill anything else and she just goes slower no matter how much gas you give her. the engine is a 3.0 with an a4ld auto trany.any help would be greatly appreciated.thank you all
p.s my engine light is not on and she does not smoke |
